2 Corinthians | M
Led by Dr. Jeff Meyers
Ongoing | Jim Bob’s, Tiger Town | 6:30 am
Pastor Jeff will begin a verse-by-verse Bible study of Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians. In Second Corinthians, Paul encouraged believers to value generosity, humility, and weakness. He turns upside down our preconceived notions of the way life works. Paul stresses the hallmarks of the Christian life as strength through weakness, the importance of reconciliation in broken relationships, and the powerful example of servant leadership. Doors will open at 6:15am for biscuits and coffee. The Bible study will begin at 6:30am and conclude by 7:15am.
No registration needed.
Sleeping Giant, by Kenny Luck | M
Led by Adam Creel and Jason Graham
Begins Wednesday, January 5
6 weeks | Man Cave | 6:15 pm
Kenny Luck uses the term "sleeping giant" to describe the men in the body of Christ and the incredible untapped potential within. Pastors intuitively sense it but are sometimes unsure how to meaningfully engage and integrate the men of their churches. Sleeping Giant introduces a process to moving men along an intentional spiritual pathway from "affiliated" to "activated." The Sleeping Giant model begins with a core team chosen by the pastor. Working together, this core team will create a vision for men based on the pastor's vision for the church while initiating their own spiritual path. Through the six sessions, this core team will go through the process of Get In, Get Healthy, Get Strong, and Get Going. Upon completion, they will be ready to lead other men through that same process, creating a multiplying effect that spills over into the rest of the church and the community
