Will Spivey

Will Spivey serves as the Next Generation Pastor at FBCO. After earning his Masters of Divinity, de and his wife Shelby moved to Opelika where he served as College pastor since 2019. Will is currently working on his PhD at New Orleans Seminary in Biblical Exposition with a minor in Missiology. Since 2019, the college ministry has sent out hundreds of students on international mission trips and formalized a residency to train future minsters and missionaries. 

As Next Generation Pastor, Will oversees the unity and vision of the age graded ministries (preschool to young adult), leads the church’s residency, and preaches the 11:00am contemporary service.

Will and Shelby have two children while also serving as foster parents with the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. Their Chinese Sharpei, Gus Gus, protects their house with his limited vision! In his free time Will enjoys running, grilling smoked meats and reading.
