Dr. Daniel González
Latino Pastor
Pastor Daniel joined the First Baptist family in August 2022 to start the Latino congregation (PIBO). He was born in Cuba where he served as Baptist pastor from 1993 until 2022. He finished his B.A. in Theology at Havana Baptist Theological Seminary in 1997. Simultaneously, Ana Isabel finished her B.A. at the University of Pedagogical Sciences of Havana, and they got married in June of the same year. A month later they traveled to the Isle of Pines to begin a church planting movement that resulted in hundreds of new believers joining a network of more than one hundred house groups and six official churches. After a decade they returned to Havana with their three children, leaving all the work in the hands of the indigenous leadership. In June 2008 Daniel completed his Master's degree in Havana Baptist Theological Seminary in partnership with SWBTS. In 2009 he assumed the pastorate of the Santos Suárez Baptist Church, Havana, where he developed a growing urban church planting movement for twelve years. In May 2023 he completed his Doctorate of Ministry with an emphasis in Leadership from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas, MO. His three children, Moisés, Ana, and Angelo, continue to be key pieces of his missionary team.
His passion is establishing multiplying churches and mobilizing and developing local leaders.
