Saturday afternoon, 12:30 p.m.
Pastor Steve continues to rest comfortably in the hospital out of ICU. His condition continues to be stable. He is alert and "being Steve" for which we are very grateful.
To continue to assess his condition and to know exactly how to provide him the best care, Pastor Steve will have another heart catheterization on Sunday. Please pray that this procedure is routine. I will provide an update as I receive one.
Once again, the best gift you can give Pastor Steve and his family is your prayer support and time to rest and heal. His family continues to request no visitors at this time. I know you are anxious to personally wish him well. We all look forward to that time coming very soon.
Our God is an awesome God and we continue to trust Him and place Pastor Steve completely in His care. Isaiah 40:31 says, "Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength." Renewal is our prayer for Pastor Steve.

Friday afternoon, 4:00 p.m.
I have just returned from visiting Pastor Steve. He is resting well and continues to make good progress. His sense of humor is sharp and, of course, he wants to come home as soon as possible.
While he is no longer in ICU, he is not allowed to have visitors. Pastor Steve had a serious heart attack and needs time to heal. I know you are ready to be of help to Steve and his family in any way possible. The best gift you can give him right now is to allow him to rest.
Again, the family is requesting no visits or phone calls at this time. Please continue to pray for him and his family.

Friday morning, 10:00 a.m.
Reports this morning continue to be good. Pastor Steve continues to gain strength and is doing well. His prognosis is good.
Please continue to pray for him and his family as he continues his recovery. At the request of the family, please no calls or visits at this time. Pastor Steve needs rest in order to recover.
We will continue to update this website on a daily basis, but feel free to contact the church office or a staff member for updates.

March 11, 2010:
Thank you for your continued prayers for our Pastor as he recovers in Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
Pastor Steve spent some time sitting up in a chair in CVICU today. He is improving day by day. He will remain in CVICU tonight.
Churches and individuals from all over the southeast have contacted our office to say they are praying for a speedy recovery.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Steve, Karen, and the family. Because of his need for rest, the family respectfully asks that you do not call or visit at this time. We will make every effort to update our website on his condition on a daily basis. Feel free to contact me, the church office, or any staff member for updates.
Thank you,
Mike King

March 10, 2010:
Thank you for your prayers for our Pastor during these past hours. In an effort to keep you completely informed as to his progress, we will update our website regularly.
On Tuesday, Pastor Steve was making a visit at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. While in the hospital, he collapsed. The medical team was able to give him attention very quickly and rush him to the Emergency Room. He, in fact, had experienced a heart attack. He was immediately moved to the heart catheterization lab where a blocked artery was successfully opened.
Pastor Steve remains in CVICU at Jackson Hospital where he is resting comfortably. His prognosis is good.
